We will be reading An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States – the 2019-2020 UUA Common Read.

Please pre-register for one, two, or all  three discussions via sending an email to Sara Hildalgo, FP Administrator, at admin.fplex@verizon.net. Your book will be individually packaged and available for pickup Please leave $15.00 cash.
Read the book in May and then join in a series of three discussions on Zoom which will take place on Thursdays afternoons June 4, 11, and 18 at 4:00 pm.  These discussions can also prepare us as a faith community as we consider this year’s General Assembly (June 24-28) theme: Rooted, Inspired, & Ready!   A major focus of General Assembly (GA) will be in partnership with Indigenous leaders in the Northeast to explore how to co-exist in right relationship with one another and the land we occupy, deepening our understanding of Unitarian Universalism’s role in European settlement, 400 years since our direct religious ancestors on the Mayflower landed in Plymouth and began the colonization of what is now New England. GA will delve into our theological and historical roots, bringing those threads into the present day and acting in solidarity with Indigenous communities. Our Common Read is also relevant given the current challenges of the MA Wampanoag nation (https://sign.moveon.org/petitions/stand-with-the-mashpee)  All are invited!
