Martin Luther King Jr. was an incredible activist. And at the same time – he sure could preach!  Rev. Anne will explore aspects of his famous sermon “Three Dimensions of a Complete Life” as we celebrate King’s spiritual legacy.

This Sunday, in celebration of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, soloists Elizabeth Walsh and Austin Burns will sing music from spirituals to James Taylor. Elizabeth will sing a poignant arrangement of the spiritual “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child.” Austin will sing Jacqueline Hairston’s soulful arrangement of the spiritual “No Ways Tired.” And together they will sing James Taylor’s hopeful original song “Shed a Little Light Today for Martin Luther King.” And for the centering music and postlude, Rip Jackson will play Scott Joplin’s wonderful piano pieces “Solace” (from The Sting) and “The Maple Leaf Rag.”

There will be Sunday school classes for grades Pre-K through eight.
