For this Sunday service “Still Way, Way Back….” ,

In the book of Genesis, embedded in the story of Jacob, Joseph and all the brothers, lies the troubling story of Judah and Tamar.  Why is this difficult story so often skipped, what does it teach us about the Joseph story, and how has this shaped our understanding of the theme of belonging?

About the Music
This Sunday, the sanctuary choir and soloists will sing selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Evita. Elisabeth Walsh will sing the beautiful songs “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and “You Must Love Me.” Chris Hess will sing the riveting “O What a Circus.” The sanctuary choir will also sing the lyrical song “High, Flying Adored” from the show. For the centering music, Deborah Yardley Beers and Rip Jackson will play Mozart’s ethereal “Andante” (from Sonata for Piano, Four Hands in D Major, KV. 381).
