WatchCDCBreaking Barriers at WATCH is an adult education, training, and leadership program for immigrants of all nationalities in the neighboring community of Waltham. The program expands the skills and strengthens the voice of immigrants.  Breaking Barriers at WATCH addresses critical needs through educational programs and services grounded in leadership development and action.  In 2008, WATCH merged with Breaking Barriers, a local nonprofit organization with a complimentary mission that had been serving the immigrant community.  Today, the Breaking Barriers at WATCH program carries out this vital work for immigrants.

The Social Action Ministry encourages participation in this project brought to us by a congregant of First Parish.  There is a particular need for English as a Second Language tutors  and for those able to translate outreach materials into Spanish, Haitian Creole, or French.
