Lisa Maria Andreoli Steinberg
Director of Lifespan Religious Education

“My passion is education; my mission is to support people in discovering how they can best love the world and in turn, be loved for all that they are. The ministry I am called to do is to develop strong multigenerational faith communities, who then live that out through learning, worship, and justice work.”

Lisa Maria Steinberg hails from Walpole, NH. She has worked in churches for over 20 years, first as a musician and then as a religious educator. She brings a background in education, social work, music and theology to her career in religious education and faith development. As a graduate student, Lisa Maria studied at Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA and at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, MA where she graduated with a M.A. in Theology and the Arts. She resides in Shirley, MA with her husband, daughter and two cats.

Lisa Maria has been described as a person with profound integrity and spiritual depth. She has the respect of her colleagues in the field of religious education across the lifespan. She has a lovely manner with children and adults alike, along with possessing a solid Unitarian Universalist identity. First Parish benefits from her charisma and energy along with the in-depth wisdom she shows about families, churches, faith and our changing times.
