Welcome to our annual Stewardship Campaign! This pledge drive is the time when we ask for your financial commitment to support our church in the coming fiscal year that starts July 1st.  Annual pledges fund more than two-thirds of our operating budget – so your pledge is critical.

Throughout the difficult pandemic time, First Parish has ministered to us and the wider community. We have developed new ways to create connections near and far, and our multi-platform services are just one example of how our church has adapted to the pandemic and the multiple challenges in our world today. We are asking for your continued financial support in this work. Please consider raising your pledge this year by 7% to 8%.

Why pledge?

Draw the Circle Wide is our theme this year, informed by the Eighth Principle that was passed by our congregation last spring and that commits us to dismantling racism and other forms of oppression.
We will work to implement this principle in our church programs, lifelong education and outreach. Our pledges pay for the superb ministerial team that leads us in this important effort. Next year, we will be adding staff for lifetime religious education, membership and a new church administrator. And our historic building will be enhanced as a gathering place for the whole community.

What are our goals?

We seek to broaden our community by attracting new families, advancing social justice, addressing climate change, and supporting our members through the good and the tough times of life. We promote caring and tolerance, through lifespan religious education. We help fund Unitarian-Universalism at national and regional levels. And we offer opportunities for spiritual growth, service and community to all who seek it at First Parish. Pledge letters are being emailed in the early February and contain more information about our campaign.
We ask that all pledges be made by Sunday, March 6th.
