A place for older teens

Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) meets on most Sunday evenings from 7:00-9:00 PM under the leadership of John Roop, our staff Youth Coordinator. SHYG gathers for socializing, fundraising for their biannual service trip, local community service activities, and a deepening understanding of their spirituality and faith. In addition to the weekly Sunday night youth group, high schoolers are invited and encouraged to attend the weekly Sunday morning worship service and any Adult Programs that interest them.

If you will be attending First Parish with your baby, child, or youth, please fill out our Family Enrollment Form.

Coming of Age

wooden-chalice We offer this program to 9th and 10th graders in alternating years as a rite of passage for youth to engage in a process to articulate the understanding of their personal beliefs. A valuable Unitarian Universalist tradition, the Coming of Age process and culminating worship service is cherished as a way to celebrate our youth’s independent minds and their growing understanding of spirituality and faith. Currently this group is on hiatus. Kindly check back later for future offerings.
