womens-marchMembers of the First Parish in Wayland have organized a bus and lodging to attend the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday, January 21, 2017. If you are interested in joining them, the invitation is below.

Wayland and Friends: Women’s March on Washington / Friday, January 20 – Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017

There are 56 seats on our motor coach (bus) leaving from Shopper’s World, Framingham to Washington, DC. 

To register, send an email to Melinda Morgan, linmorg3@aol.com. Include your name, email address and cell phone number and whether or not you will also be making reservations at the Courtyard Aberbeen.  We need some sense of how many rooms to have them continue to hold for our group.

To confirm your spot, send a check in the amount of $92.00, payable to “East Coast EdVentures” to: East Coast EdVentures, P.O. Box 5070, Wayland, MA 01778. Please make your payment by December 15, 2016. Your reservation will be CONFIRMED WHEN PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Reservations are NON REFUNDABLE. After December 15th, we will be unable to hold your reservation.

Please note that cost is estimated and based on all seats being sold. An additional payment may be required if all seats are not sold. Please encourage your friends to join us for this historic march! Note – Payment includes round trip transportation, plus travel between Courtyard Aberdeen (see below) and the March. The bus will depart from: Shopper’s World in Framingham, near DSW. Bus leaves on Friday Jan 20, 2017 @ 12:00 noon. Parking is available at the Logan’s Express parking lot. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. The trip is expected to take 7 hours with bathroom stops. (There is also a bathroom on the bus.) Please bring lunch and snacks.

We have secured a group rate at the Courtyard Aberdeen, Ripken Stadium, 830 Long Drive, Aberdeen MD. We are holding 25 double/double rooms. The rooms have 2 queen size beds and can sleep up to 4 people per room. Cost is $119 + tax per night, including breakfast. To reserve your room, call the hotel at 410-272-0440. When making reservation, use the name “Women’s March” to get this rate. The hotel also has a restaurant for dinner. The hotel is approximately 90 minutes Washington, DC. The bus will drive us to Washington, DC on Saturday morning and take us back to the hotel on Saturday late afternoon/evening after the March. On Sunday morning, we depart from the hotel for the trip home.
