Hope Under Your Feet

As people of faith, we are also people of hope.  Wendell Berry encourages us to “Found your hope, then, on the ground under your feet.  Be it lighted by the light that falls freely upon it after the darkness of the nights and the darkness of our ignorance and madness.”  Rev. Anne will preach this morning about hope in times of darkness.

Music for this Sunday

This Sunday, soprano soloist Elizabeth Walsh will be joined by guest pianist Sarah Hager in presenting beautiful music for worship. Elizabeth will sing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s melodic “My Own Little Corner” (from Cinderella) and Billie Holiday’s jazz classic “God Bless the Child.” Sarah will play George Winston’s nourishing “Thanksgiving” (from Autumn) for the centering music and Craig Phillips’ joyful “Fanfares” (from Suite Breve) for the postlude. She will also play her own arrangement of Dean McIntrye’s meditative “Meditation on Quiet Moment” for the offertory.
