Bring Your Faith to Your Thanksgiving Table

As we prepare for Thanksgiving, what we bring to the table is more than just turkey, or pumpkin pie. How do you bring your faith to your family’s table? Lisa Maria shares a reflection for all ages on how to be serious about your faith this season and how we can embrace wholeness as a faith community when life is difficult. We will also kick off our participation in the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Guest At Your Table Program. This service is an All Ages Worship Service.

Music for this Sunday

This Sunday, the sanctuary and children’s choirs will celebrate Thanksgiving with beautiful choral anthems. The children’s choir, with soloists Cecilia Kvaal and Clara Trementozzi and flautist Meg Newhouse, will sing the joyful Shaker song “Simple Gifts.” The sanctuary choir will sing Maurice Green’s lyrical “Thou Visitest the Earth,” with soloist David Meharry and Handel’s exuberant “With the Voice of Joy and Thanksgiving” (arranged by John Leavitt). Rip Jackson will play George Winston’s meditative piano piece “Colors/Dance” (from his iconic album Autumn) and J. S. Bach’s powerful organ work “Praeludium in c minor, BWV 549.”
