First Parish in Lexington

Clark Kent, Peter Parker, Diana Prince—they all have big secrets. GOOD secrets! What is your secret power? If you were a secret agent, what would your mission be? Join us this Sunday to become a card-carrying not-so-secret agent.

The first two Sundays in February will be a ‘swap’ with the musicians and ministers of Follen Community Church and First Parish.

Rev. Claire Feingold Thoryn will be preaching today at First Parish, and Rev. Anne will preach next week at Follen. The combined choirs sing today at First Parish, and next week at Follen. We all look forward to this chance to join forces with the other UUs in Lexington!

There will be Sunday school for grades Pre-K through eight. The nursery will be open for infants and toddlers.

This morning, we welcome the choir and Director of Music, Vivian Montgomery from Follen Church who will be joining the First Parish sanctuary choir in sing beautiful music in worship. For the introit, they will sing Haydn’s glorious “The Heavens are Telling” (from The Creation) with Follen church soloists Epp Sonin, Jamie Leutz and Ryan Spilker. For the Anthem, they will sing Mark Miller’s joyful setting of “I’m Gonna Sing,” with soloists Jamie Leutz and Ryan Spilker. For the Offering, they will sing Vivaldi’s lyrical “Mundi Rector” (from Juditha Triumphans). Harpsichordist Vivian Montgomery will play Frescobaldi’s “Bergamasca” (from Fiori Musicali) and Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre’s “Prélude Nonmesurée in A minor” for the centering music and postlude.
